Using the ImageMap Control

Expression Web Designer has an easy way to add an image map to a web page.   To use this control, look in the Toolbox under the ASP.NET Controls section and find the "ImageMap" control and drag and drop the control to the area on your web page where you would like the image map to appear.

Using the AdRotator Control

Expression Web Designer offers an easy way to add rotating ads (or any images).  In this tutorial, we'll be creating an ASP.NET web page that uses an AdRotator control to randomly display ads.  This page will use an XML file to define the ads that will rotate.

With an ".aspx" page open in design mode, find the AdRotator control in the ASP.NET Controls section of the Toolbar, and drag and drop the control to the area of your page where you'd like the ad to appear.

Using Expression Web to connect to an Access Database

It's easy to use Expression Web to connect to an Access database.  This tutorial connects to the "Northwind" Database which is the sample database that comes with Microsoft Access.  If you don't have this database installed, you can download it from Microsoft's website here:

Expression Web and Blend now part of MSDN

Microsoft announced today that Expression Web is now available for download for MSDN Premium subscribers. This is good news to many developers who expected Expression Web to be part of MSDN when it was released several months ago.  Microsoft also announced that Expression Blend will also be available to MSDN Premium subscribers once Blend is released (which is expected within the next two months).
